How to read prevailing wind direction indicated in any project documents?

Normally any wind directions indicated in any documents are indicated as travelling from. For e.g. suppose Prevailing wind direction is indicated as S (South) in any project documents, then it should be read as wind direction is from South.  This means wind direction is started from S (South) and travelling to N (North) direction.
